On the closing night of New York Comic Con weekend, Seventh Heaven Bar & Karaoke glowed pink for the Hello Kitty Social, a candy-coated collision of cosplay, rave culture, and Y2K nostalgia.
Hosted by Art & Aux, the event transformed the Bushwick venue into a kaleidoscope of glitter, heart motifs, and animated light. Themed cocktails sparkled at the bar while guests, dressed in full Harajuku and Hello Kitty flair, danced beneath looping 3D projections that turned the space into an interactive Sanrio fever dream.
Headlining the night was Thien Dragon, a 3D artist and electronic producer known for blending cinematic PS2-era visuals with hyperpop and breakbeat soundscapes. His set rippled through the room, a swirl of bubbly basslines, dreamy melodies, and nostalgic chaos that made the floor feel like a digital playground. Beyond the pink haze and thumping rhythm, the night carried heart: Hello Kitty Social doubled as a fundraiser for Flatbush Cats, a local nonprofit rescuing and caring for stray and feral cats across New York City. Guests donated food, toys, and funds throughout the evening, proof that even in a sea of glitter and glow sticks, compassion still steals the spotlight.
In the end, Hello Kitty Social wasn’t just a themed night. It was a glimpse into a new wave of DIY nightlife one where art, music, and community blend seamlessly with cause-driven culture. Cute. Chaotic. Compassionate. Entirely unforgettable.
